NSBE-HSC Chapter Awards
We want you to know your hard work is not going unappreciated! The NSBE Houston Space Chapter wants to recognize you for your valuable contributions. The following recognition programs are now available to chapter members:
Monthly Awards
On Point Award (Executive Board members only)
Annual Awards
Membership Award
Awarded to an individual who has most
consistently supported the chapter during the year. This person would have been a regular at both
chapter meetings and programs. Executive
Board members are not eligible for this award.
Developing Leader Award
Awarded to an individual who has had the
greatest impact on chapter development by exerting leadership in the
development of one or more chapter projects.
This person must have led at least one major chapter program. Executive Board members are not eligible for
this award.
Engineering Excellence Award
Awarded to an individual whose technical
expertise had the greatest impact on the success of a NSBE-HSC or Space SIG engineering
project. This person must have provided
critical engineering knowledge and demonstrated a commitment above the call of
duty to one or more chapter or Space SIG engineering projects. Executive Board members are not eligible for
this award.
Chapter Leadership Award
Awarded to the Executive Board Member
who has most consistently sustained the chapter’s development during the
year. This person would have exceeded
the requirements of his or her job description as a result of a strong commitment
to the organization. The President is
not eligible for this award.
Agency Impact Award
Awarded to the member who has provided the greatest contribution towards one or more chapter or Space SIG projects designed to create a positive impact within NASA. Direct benefits for both NSBE and NASA must result from such activities. Benefits to NASA must have been experienced at more than one NASA center. The President is not eligible for this award. The Agency Impact Award is the highest award in NSBE-HSC.
Recipients
of annual awards are selected by the Executive Board, with the exception of the
Chapter Leadership and Agency Impact awardees, both of whom are selected by the
President.
