The SWAT Team is a rookie competitor for 2004 in the US FIRST Robotics League. We are working diligently to create a robot to compete in the Spring Regionals, to be held in Houston, TX the first weekend in April.
The SWAT Team is composed of:
Hartman Middle School
Jack Yates High School
The Middle College High School
NSBE – Houston Space Chapter
NASA – Johnson Space Center (Building 10 Manufacturing Lab)
Our robot is the S.W.A.T. - a Superior automaton With Advanced Technology. It employs four-wheel drive, pneumatic lifts, powered arms, and a vertical actuator to overcome the obstacles in the 2004 FIRST competition. Construction is currently in progress at NASA's Sonny Carter Training Facility.
